WHO else is totally overwhelmed with his or her scrapbooking?
I am---and I own a flippin' store! Well, that's probably a big part of why I'm overwhelmed. I bring things home from the store, and I just "dump" them into my crafts room (I actually have an awesome room). I see amazing work done by my staff and my customers and I feel so inferior! I'm so disorganized I never have what I need when I need it (can you believe that I have NO pink cardstock in my stash? What's up with THAT?)
Now, I also know that I have some company in this "situational overwhelmedness". So I'm inviting you to join me this week. Come up with ONE THING (I picked three) that you'll do before Sunday at the stroke of midnight that will allow you to get back to why we do this---to save MEMORIES!
Here are my "just three things" for the week....I'll let you know how it goes!
1. Make sure I have plenty of adhesive on hand for when I get in the mood to work (I ran out of my Vario Tab refills on Saturday---and I used that as an excuse to stop). I'm going to decide which adhesives I like best, get myself a refill or two---and the rest are going to be sold at the garage sale in November. (oops add item 1.5---get myself some garage sale tags from the store).
2. I am going to put my pictures in my cruise book----I have the book done----just need to put the pictures in. I am working on Saturday night at the crop, and from Midnight until 2AM, I'm just going to do it.
3. Because we need samples at the store, I'm going to scrapbook my family's vacation from 2007 using the Creative Kiosk. One copy for the store, one for me. That's my Tuesday night project---8 to 9 at the store---that should be plenty of time.
Remember, this is my business, so for me to pick three is probably good. Why don't you just "pick one" this week? Let me know how it goes---I'll help you be accountable! Better yet, share them here---and we'll ALL help you be accountable!
And---I will even post pictures!
Hey Kathie---good to see you at the store yesterday! My adhesives are sorted---and are now neatly sitting in a drawer on my kitchen table. I need to take them downstairs, back to my room
Today---I'm going to get everything OFF THE FLOOR in my room (there is a big old exercise ball in there that I just keep rolling out of my way). That will only take me an hour or so---then I'm going to attack my table.
How many more garage sale tags do you think I'll use up? Good thing for me---as the store owner, I don't really have to limit myself to 60 tags!

OK I'll play.
I commit to going thru my stuff and picking out lots of goodies for the garage sale. I have a box started but need MORE!
I am in the process of moving my scrap stuff downstairs so I will also re-organize my shelves downstairs to make room for my stuff.
Thanks Sue--now that its in writing, I have to do it!
